A Crack in the Case

Corbin Fiscal might have figured out Shotcaller’s motive.

Corbin sat and stared at the Excel spreadsheet blindly, unsure of what he was looking at. He tapped his index finger against his chin in deep thought.

Golden Pro Wrestling’s accountant (and active wrestler) felt like he was finally on to something. He and Golden Ben Miller had been digging into Shotcaller as best as they could, and trying to figure out if there was a connection with the strange $50,000 expense from GPW’s coffers.

For weeks, Corbin had been combing through Golden Pro Wrestling’s corporate computer files, looking for any clue as to recipient or destination of the $50,000 dollars.

But finally, there it was. Some sort of financial statement readout he was unfamiliar with.

“Who the hell is Hollister?” Corbin wondered to himself out loud.

He quickly opened up his browser and entered the phrase “Memphis Tennessee Hollister” into the search bar.

The search results were promising, because the first thing that appeared was Hollister Academy, a reformation facility for repeat offenders.

Corbin sat back and started putting together pieces.

Shotcaller, a career criminal goes MIA before his match at Gold Rush, then $50,000 is sent to Hollister Academy, and Shotcaller is suddenly going after each and every one of the Golden Pros.

Reaching into his pocket, Corbin grabbed his phone and began to type up a text message to GBM.

“Yo GBM, I think I got it. Parker spent the $50K and now he has leverage over Shotcaller somehow… Parker might be the one actually calling the shots here.”
