Defeated, For Now

Queen Solis finds herself unable to accept her loss.

It wasn’t the physical wounds that bothered Queen Solis the most.

It was the empty feeling inside of her that she found most vexing.

The leader of Draconium stared out of the Draconian’s spaceship through the viewport down toward planet Earth. The green and blue ball with wispy white clouds was so pathetic, yet it had come to completely mesmerize her.

Earth was so different than Draconia, which could be best described as a dark blue orb with sharp, silver clouds, and orbited by several orange moons.

But regardless of Queen Solis’ contempt for Earth, it was what it represented that bothered her most. As the leader of the Draconians, she had guided her people through interstellar wars, subjugated countless species, and had never lost her feeling of superiority.

That was, until she had met Flip Costa.

Yes, she had transformed him into a mindless minion, Flip Draco. However, those tantalizing and entertaining moments of his amusing unintelligence, universally accepted beauty, and dim-witted charm had stirred something up inside of her.

But now he was gone. He was no longer hers.

He was down there. She was up here.

Queen Solis placed her hands on her stomach and winced with self-pity that the father of her unborn child could no longer be a part of their lives.

She heard the soft hum of the spaceship bridge’s door opening behind her. The unique gait and heavy footsteps that clanked against the metal floor told her that it was her general, the Draconian.

He had been relatively reserved since the events at Starfall where Golden Ben Miller had bested Draconium and taken away Flip Draco.

“Your highness,” the Draconian beckoned. “Have your wounds begun to heal?”

She continued to idly stare out the window down at planet Earth, hesitating to respond.

“Yes, General,” she finally replied. “Most of them, at least.”

There was a period of awkward silence before she continued.

“General, I have summoned a flagship from Draconia, which will come here and fetch me shortly.”

“If I may ask, where will you be going, and what are our orders?” questioned the Draconian in his deep, monotone voice.

“I will…” hesitated Queen Solis. “I will be returning to Draconia to give birth to my unborn. And your orders are… to subjugate this Golden Pro Wrestling. The Dominars have already achieved dominance in the tag team division. When I return, I expect you to be wearing the Pure Gold Championship.”

The soft hum of the Draconian’s spaceship continued to permeate through the background noise.

“And what of the Agent Leonard that came back with us? He is still in my holding chamber.”

Queen Solis smirked to herself. At least she would have a new toy for the trip home.

“He will return with me to Draconia where he will be on display in my menagerie.”

“Understood, your highness. I wish you safe travels to Draconia, and I will do your bidding.”

Never having looked back at the Draconian, Queen Solis could hear him leave the bridge of the spaceship.

She continued to gaze at planet Earth.

Flip Draco may be gone, but Flip Costa still existed.

And she would have him again, she thought as her fists clenched by her sides.
