Far Out Pt. 1

Flip Costa and the Draconian arrive at a distant planet.

The low hum of the Draconian’s spaceship emanated softly, which Flip had become accustomed to during the long voyage. He laid on his bunk inside the small cabin that the Draconian had given him and looked upward at the ceiling.

Dark.

The entire ship was pretty much always dark.

Besides the cool blue lightly shining from behind panels and computer stations, the Draconian’s ship was much like his personality; enigmatic.

Flip sighed, rolled over to his side and repositioned the extra pillow between his legs. Of course, he had to ask the Draconian three times for an extra pillow.

It had been a strange journey on the Draconian’s spaceship: once they had left Earth, the Draconian had been largely ambivalent to Flip’s presence, allowing the professional wrestler to explore the ship on his own accord.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much to explore beyond a few hallways and an engine room. Flip had once tried to access a computer panel, but it was quickly shut down remotely by the Draconian on the command bridge.

Whenever Flip Costa encountered the Draconian, the large alien never said anything. He would occasionally look at Flip in acknowledgement of his presence but otherwise the Draconian was unconcerned with Flip’s happenings.

Flip asked himself when this journey would be over, and as if on cue, the low hum of the spaceship changed pitch to a higher frequency. The Pensacola Pretty Boy’s eyebrows raised at the new development, and he twisted himself out of the bed.

He quickly threw a shirt and pants on before leaving the small cabin and following the hallway down to the Draconian’s bridge. Flip casually walked out into the open area where the Draconian was sitting in his command chair.

On the viewscreen was a small orb, slowing getting larger and larger, and Flip quickly came to understand they were reaching their destination.

“We are here,” the Draconian stated in his deep voice. “Draconia.”

For once, Flip was actually speechless. The approaching planet was a dark blue orb with wisped silvery clouds. He could see the dark brown crags of land with large bodies of water. Several orange moons could be seen orbiting the large celestial body, which punctuated the majesty of the mighty planet.

Flip finally responded.

“Far out.”
