Honor of Elders Pt. 3

Haru Makoto builds his legacy in front of his young son.

Kuroshio Arena

Summer, 2001

The fans screamed wildly as Haru Makoto lifted his opponent once more. With a heavy grunt, he dropped them into yet another powerbomb.

The Japanese announcer can be heard shouting excitedly that this was the fourth powerbomb in a row. Haru was known for his relentless power attacks, and he this match was no exception. Ringside, his wife Emi, smiled on while holding a tiny infant in her arms.

ICHI… NI… SAN!!!

The match was over, and the exhausted Haru rolled off of the other wrestler. The crowd screamed in delight at the top of their lungs, and the local wrestling promoter climbed into the ring carrying a beautiful, gold championship belt.

While the promoter strapped the belt around his waist, Haru motioned to Emi to enter the ring. She carefully walked up the steps with her infant, which she then handed to Haru before ducking between the ropes.

Haru, wearing his championship belt, kissed Emi sweetly on the cheek. He then walked slowly around the ring presenting the baby to the crowd, and the crowd reciprocated with endless applause.

Emi came up beside Haru and pulled his head down toward her.

“We are so proud of you,” she whispered. “Me and baby Fuse both.”
