“How’s your back feelin’?” Captain John Cunningham asked his copilot.
The former hot shot fighter jet pilot rubbed his neck gingerly and squinted at the navigation controls in the 737 cockpit.
“Still hurts a bit, but it was worth it,” Captain Derek McDonnell replied.
The Orderlies had been quite a handful for the two wrestlers in their last match, for the third time this season, they had survived and came out on top.
“That’s three in a row… one more and we have the belts,” John mused to himself.
“Right?” Derek responded. “When we started this season, I just felt lucky to get a job flying again after Spirit folded.”
Both captains looked out through the cockpit window into the dark sky. Flying the red eye had never been their favorite gig as commercial airline pilots, but right now they took any work United Airlines was willing to give them.
John couldn’t help but look toward the future instead of the past, which was one of the more defining differences between the two men.
“None of that matters now, bro,” John stated. “We have the Dominars next, and we can’t screw up the landing to Season 6.”
Out on the dark horizon, a solid light hovered in place.
“You see that?” John asked Derek, who leaned forward to appraise the situation.
“Yeah, what is that? We’re at like 35,000 feet altitude,” Derek commented. “Nothing should just be sitting still like that.”
The light then split into two distinct orbs, and the orbs began to bounce around the horizon at speeds they had never seen anything achieve before.
“Yo, John, we gotta call this in, man,” Derek nervously recommended.
The lights then sped in the direction of their plane to the point that John was forced to wrench on the controls. The plane pitched to the right, and passengers from the main cabin could be heard screaming in surprise and fear.
“Call this in! We have unidentified aerial phenomenon coming into close proximity with our aircraft!” John shouted at his copilot and wrestling partner.
“That’s pretty wordy, but I’ll try!”
As Derek fiddled with getting the communications up, the two lights circled around the plane and then the mysterious objects pulled up on opposite sides of the airplane cockpit.
John and Derek both took a moment to evaluate the objects through the windows. Within this close of distance, Your Captains were now able to see they orbs were some sort of highly advanced aircraft… or spacecraft.
The two wrestlers looked closer and could see familiar grey metal composite with glowing cobalt blue light patterns.
“Bruh, that looks like what the Draconian’s spaceship is made out of,” Derek calmly stated.
“…those fuckin’ Dominars are buzzing us, aren’t they!?” John concluded.
In the blink of an eye, the two objects shot away into higher orbit leaving Your Captains to collect themselves while they attempted to reset their plane’s course.
